“Think of me as Yoda. Only instead of being little and green, I wear suits and I’m awesome. I’m your bro. I’m Broda.”
Most of my quotes are serious and “thought provoking”, so I thought I would switch it up a little. After my recent stint of non-stop HIMYM I decided why not quote the, ever so clever, Barney Stinson. Because he’s awesome.
The 36th Avenue
My new favorite obsession. I could spend hours on end entertaining myself with the amazing DIY projects. I suggest all of you to stop what you’re doing right now and find your next project immediately! I know my Mom and I are about to tackle on the “best chicken enchiladas“. I’ll tell you how they turn out!
Until next time friends and family 🙂
via. The 36th Avenue…make it EXTRAORDINARY!
I heard this song first on a commercial for the Olympics. I immediately thoughtful it was some classic song I never heard before. To my surprise it was an American Idol winner. I was shocked. Speechless. Usually l find the AI winners songs trite and tuneless. but I fell in love. Not to mention Phillips Phillips is a hottie. Loving this song and I hope you all enjoy it too!!!
CONGRATS AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA/TUCSON-ITES AT THE 2012 OLYMPICS! WAY TO REPRESENT AND BEAR DOWN!!!!!!

Just as I said it would be–here is Lynyrd Synyrd’s “Simple Man’. What an amazing song. Seriously has been on a repeat play list (with all of the other ‘songs of the now’) Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
I’m going to make this brief. I thought this story is fitting for the upcoming events of Seafair. This was a couple years ago, I was in college but not yet 21. But naturally “DGAF” and got wasted anyway. Seafair days consist of Mardi Gras-esque antics on the water with a break around dinner, maybe a quick catnap, then fraternity late night type partying for the rest of the night. So I was on my dinner break. I thought it’d be nice to get home to a home cooked meal, relax for a minute or two and then head out for the nights activities.
“Mama told me when I was young
‘Come sit beside me, my only son
And listen closely to what I say
And if you do this it will help you some sunny day’
‘Oh, take your time, don’t live too fast
Troubles will come and they will pass
You’ll find a woman and you’ll find love
And don’t forget, son, there is someone up above’
And be a simple kind of man
Oh, be something you love and understand
Baby be a simple kind of man
Oh, won’t you do this for me, son, if you can'”
Lynyrd Skynyrds “Simple Man” is one of my favorite songs (at least for now, will probably be posting it under “song of the now” relatively soon). I Just love the song and the lyrics are so great! So I hope you all can be a “simple kind of man and be something you love and understand”.
In middle school I went through this awkward phase where I wanted to be Avril Lavigne. So naturally I did everything to recreate myself as a “punk rock skater” chick. I started wearing vans, put on a heinous amount of eye liner and even straightened my already too straight hair. There was nothing cooler then a skater in my eyes. Thankfully I had a few friends who agreed with this trend and joined in on some of the ridiculous procedures to “follow it”. Continue reading
With some unfortunate events this weekend I felt this song was appropriate. Not to mention, I absolutely love Keane. Enjoy
